About Post Falls Sports Nutrition: A Story of Redemption and Healing

My Story

I want to take a moment to share my story and how Post Falls Sports Nutrition came to life—because this place was built from lived experience, not theory.

For much of my early life, I struggled. Addiction, prison, poor health, and years of destructive choices took a serious toll on my body. I did enough destruction to myself to learn the hard way. At just 27 years old, I underwent my first open-heart surgery in 2007—a moment that forced me to confront the reality of the path I was on. During that surgery, my heart stopped for over three minutes. In that stillness, I had a profound spiritual experience—one that reminded me I wasn’t alone, that my life mattered, and that I still had a choice. That moment changed everything.

The years that followed included additional brain and heart surgeries, and by 2014—after my third open-heart surgery—I reached a moment of absolute clarity: something had to change.

That year, I moved to Idaho with my father to recover. What began as physical healing quickly became something much deeper. That move marked a turning point—not just for my body, but for my mind, my spirit, and the direction of my life. I had to rebuild myself from the ground up—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Through everything, one constant never wavered: my mother. Her unwavering love, prayers, and presence carried me through moments I wouldn’t have survived on my own. She is the quiet strength behind this story, and I owe my life to her in more ways than I can put into words.

I had been battling addiction since my teenage years—first through pain pills after injuries and surgeries, then deeper into substances and steroids that only compounded my health issues. In 2014, I made a clean break. I flushed every medication I was on—Xanax, TRT, Adderall, methadone—and committed to rebuilding my life with intention.

I immersed myself in functional nutrition, inner healing, and spiritual growth. I studied psychology, the power of the mind, and teachings from Buddhist, Taoist, and Christian traditions. Authors like Wayne Dyer, Tony Robbins, and Michael Singer helped guide me back to myself. Healing became my purpose.

In 2015, Post Falls Sports Nutrition was born—not as a business idea, but as an extension of that healing. This store exists for people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, broken, or simply unsure of their next step. I’m not here to judge—I’m here to help. Truly.

Then in 2016, life surprised me again. My wife walked into the store—and into my life. From the moment I saw her, I knew. She brought grounding, love, and light into my world, and together we now have a beautiful daughter. Today, I can honestly say I wouldn’t trade lives with anyone. I’m grateful beyond words.

Post Falls Sports Nutrition is more than a supplement store. It’s a place of connection, education, and hope. It’s proof that no matter how far you’ve fallen, healing is possible. Growth is possible. A meaningful life is possible.

Whether you’re here for supplements, guidance, or simply someone who understands—I’m here for you. I’ve rebuilt myself from the ground up, and if I can help you take even one step forward, this place has done its job.

Love your life,

Josh
